LOWELL – A local man accused of shooting another man and striking a woman last weekend was deemed dangerous by Lowell District Court on Thursday.
威尼斯飞艇在线计划Devin Meysa Yin, 19, appeared at a virtual dangerousness hearing on May 7 in front of Judge Stacey Fortes on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. Yin was charged after allegedly shooting an 18-year-old man and striking a 19-year-old woman with his car on Textile Avenue on May 2.
According to police, Yin fired shots at a vehicle containing the male victim, the female victim and another witness that were trying to visit Yin at a house on Textile Avenue last Saturday evening.
威尼斯飞艇在线计划Police say an argument ensued between Yin, the female victim and the witness, which led to Yin shooting at the car and hitting the male victim as he tried to drive away. In the midst of the chaos, the female victim was allegedly struck by the male victim’s vehicle as he tried to leave the scene.
Both the male and female victim were hospitalized from injuries sustained during the incident.
Yin first appeared in court via telephone at his arraignment on May 4, when Judge Daniel Crane ordered that Yin be held without bail pending the dangerousness hearing.
Meghan Kelly of District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office confirmed that Yin will remain held at the Middlesex House of Correction in Billerica.
